Who I Am
After over 15 years of leadership roles in the outdoor industry, I decided it was time for a professional transition myself— I became a certified coach for individuals and small businesses. Combining my leadership and mentorship skills with the desire to elevate others, I’m here to awaken your best self so you can achieve your dreams.
I’ve witnessed lives transformed by coaching, both my own and through my clients. I love empowering others to take the reins of their lives to find greater meaning and purpose. My goal through Koru&Co is to normalize personal growth coaching, recognizing that everyone benefits from coaching, not just executives. I believe that anyone considering coaching should have access to its power.
People have called me a bold innovator throughout my career, building next for organizations like REI and LifeStraw and the leadership teams to support them. My approach to coaching is the same- creating a strong vision for the future, clarity on the path to get there, then building plans to get there and holding space and accountability for learnings and action. The work requires awakening: vision, values, collaboration, listening and challenging the status quo. This is the work I do with my clients, while holding them naturally creative, resourceful and whole.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me running on the trails of the beautiful Pacific Northwest mountains with my dogs Ozzie and Sadie, or hanging with my two boys by the lake. I believe in the healing power of nature and being outside, and spend as many hours there as possible. My love of the outdoors started right out of college after a life-changing NOLS Wind River Mountaineering course. I’ve dedicated my career to the outdoor industry. I hope to work with individuals and brands who connect with the outdoors in the same way I do.

Why Koru?
For the Māori people, the Koru spiral (or fern frond unfurling) symbolizes new life, growth, strength, and balance. This is my goal in supporting those I coach-- to help you grow and flourish with resiliency. My husband and I discovered Koru on our honeymoon to Queenstown, NZ and it spoke to me as we bungee jumped into the new married chapter in our lives.

My qualifications
I’m a CTI-certified coach, mentor for The Futurist Project, and ex-REI leader for ground-breaking projects that required learning and growing in new ways for both individuals and the organization.
